Whale Watching

You'll love scoping out the whales nearly year round in Depoe Bay which has been dubbed the Whale Watching capital of the Oregon Coast. 

During the periods of December through February and March through May the vessels of Trade Winds Charters head out west from Depoe Bay to spot Gray Whales that tend to migrate during these periods. During the winter, the whales are traveling to the shallow, warm lagoons off Northern Mexico from their summer feeding grounds in the Alaskan waters. Come Spring time, they are headed back to Northern Alaska. The pods are so huge its like a big choo choo train so they can be hard to miss, 98% of the charters from Tradewinds have sucessfull results. Enjoy!
